I know, this is a website about HBO Now online, but the fact that I have such a website does not mean I am a big fan of all HBO productions. Not at all, and if fact I find myself liking productions by other networks often much more than I enjoy the HBO productions.
Not long ago I asked myself the question if it is worth watching True Detective? Well, I have seen almost half the second season of True Detective, and it is simply strange, but I can not pull myself together so much that I will watch the second half, and that is totally unlike me, because I often feel like Sheldon Cooper from Big Bang Theory – whatever I start I need to finish. So, what is the reason for me not being able to finish True Detective season 2?
- For some reason I do not find the story interesting enough.
- There is to little tensity to the story, just dark and boring.
So instead of watching True Detective season 2 and its remaining episodes I would much rather watch some NBC series like The Blindspot or The Blacklist or watch Big Bang Theory from CBS.
You might be out there and like True Detective, and I am happy if you do, but for me this is simply to boring, not catchy enough and thus I have much better things to do in life than to watch True Detective. And what makes it even worse is the fact that I am a big fan of the actors taking part in season 2, but that does not help…
