I really enjoyed Dumb and Dumber as it was released, but I have some problems with Dumb and Dumber 2, a film which has been made available on HBO Now today.
In Dumb and Dumber 2 we meet the good friends Larry and Harry and now they are out there to find the family of Harry. Even though the story takes place 20 years after the last film, the guys have not turned smarter with the years, but rather developed in the other direction, so this is a film packed with bad jokes and crazy humor, just like we remember them from the first film.
But, the first film was hilarious and we had no clue what to expect as we first watched it. With Dumb and Dumber 2 we start watching expecting us some crazy laughs, but somehow the jokes do not feel as funny now as before. That is why I have not yet managed to finish Dumb and Dumber 2. I started watching it, but took a break, and never really managed to finish it. But maybe I will now as the film was made available on HBO Now.
